HelpAge International Global Network and South Africa Older Persons’ Forum (SAOPF) representing the South Africa Age Network have developed a knowledge hub called AgeAfrica.net.
AgeAfrica.net is an online platform, that facilitates knowledge sharing by creating a space to curate content and upload documents. This will make locally and regional generated information and data on ageing issues available to country age networks, policy-makers, government, civil society, academic institutions and other stakeholders.
AgeAfrica.net is part of HelpAge International’s “Citizens In Action” project in South Africa. It is managed for the project by the secretariat of Southern Africa Regional Age Network (SARAN). The mission of SARAN is to be the champion in ageing in Africa, through partnerships and networking. Its mission is an Africa in which people of all ages are able to claim and realise their human rights.
